The idea was to play around with black outfits and add accents to it, the idea behind the shoot and the title proved to be more sentimental than what I had originally intended. I'm black, I live in England, my Zimbabwean accent still laces the edges of most words I utter. I'm proud of my roots but I realise that my accent may only just be the remaining vivid highlight of my beloved Zimbabwe. I intend to keep it, I intend to always pronounce certain words the way I saw my great grandmother, barely over 5 foot, mould them when she chastised the boys for losing one of her cows.
We had to go back to 'the wall' at the end for a few shots. 'The Wall' brought us great joy, strangers and impromptu reflective jackets.
